I didn't see it but am genuinely shocked it kinda flopped this weekend.  Emmerich is a hack but a successful one, the action looks good (if a touch overwrought) but Tatum and Foxx are two of the biggest stars today.

If you've seen one Arnold movie, you've seen them all.

That his acting would be more wooden didn't really surprise me. But that his accent got worse after a few years in US-politics - now that is strange. Decent action-fodder.

Magic Mike was kind of boring.  Not much happened.  Did like Olivia Munn's tittays though.

just saw The Ice Man last week. Is easily one of the best films this year. Michael Shannon's performance is indescribably good.


On that note: watch Killer Joe too. Came out last year. Both were very limited release films who deserves much wider syndications. Both are about contract killers. Both very much rule.

It is shot in the first person perspective, which does hide the fact somewhat that Elijah Wood has zero personality.  One great thing about the original was the sleazy, creepy vibe (not just Spinell) and the remake has none of that.

i don't like horror movies all that much at all. Unless its scifi horror like alien or predator. I'm more into action adventure type of stuff.

I like most horror movies, but not a huge fan of ghost stories.

Watched Monsters University today with my boy.  It was decent and he loved it. Definitely not Incredibles or Toy Story (all 3) level in quality.

This was just another road trip movie with all sorts of crazy shenanigans and close calls. It had some funny moments and I didn't fall asleep at all watching it. So, I say that bodes well for this movie.
