Birdman

Pros: Good cast and acting, snappy dialogue, big ensemble thingy with long tracking shots Robert Altman style, visually appealing, thematically ambitious, consistently engaging, fun ride.

Cons: it's about fucking goddamn actors. ::)  A little bit confused, with the magical elements mixed with more serious elements. Slightly pretentious. Adds up to less than you've expected, possibly.

Rock & Roll is background music for teenagers to fuck to.

It Follows.  Great horror movie, really well made and suspenseful, with a pervasive sense of dread throughout.

It was really good. I want to see it again just for the tall guy coming thru the door, that was creepy.

That scared the shit out of me!

These X-men flicks never really resonated with me. I find the back story interesting, but the overall action bores me. Same thing as the Hobbit/LotR movies.

Not sure how many movies they've produced as of now, but this one and the wolverine offerings were pretty enjoyable.

Oh Andy I'm gonna go over to mount pilot and worship Satan

Couldn't agree more, I just couldn't put it into these words......so eloquent.

Watching a movie on a plane is about the worst way to see anything. But even so, fair comments.

I saw Whiplash the other night. Not bad at all. Recommended!

The Shocker

If I wanted to see someone getting yelled at all the time I could just move back home.  No thanks.

Oh I watched Inherent Vice on a plane. It was boring. Whiplash was also boring.

Agree with both

Did you buy any of what they said?

It was interesting, but part of me thinks that the people interviewed in the film are a bunch of "intellectuals" that had nothing better to do than pick apart Kubrick and the film. Although, some of what they said made sense, most of it seemed to be people just trying to come across as an expert and dissect everything to form some type of conspiracy theory. For the most part it was a decent documentary, though.

I agree with that assessment.  this documentary is totally focused on the fake moon landing angle.  I bought it hook, line and mortlock:

Watched this last night on a great website not sure if some of you know or not called http://movietube.co/ (not affiliated with the site, just passing on the info)

I wasn't crazy about the plot, but I enjoyed Hardy's performance, and Gandolfini was basically Tony Soprano (no big stretch)

Watched this last night. Sam Riley is uncanny as Curtis, right down to the jerky arm dancing.

Just watched What We Do in the Shadows. Thought it was good, would watch again. Comedy mockumentry about a group of vampires, co-written by Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords.

Guy (Christian Bale) goes a year without sleep starts going insane. It's on Netflix worth a watch.

the thing is..where do you really go from here.. the hulk can only smash so much shit. theres only so many iron man suits, they have managed to drag this story out for like a decade now and theyre still years from being done..who cares..
