great movie, no need to downplay it as average or abouts...thought the cinematography, writing and script were tight. Showed a realistic peek into post-recession, post oil boom Texas. Like a fucking bomb went off down there.

Last night we watched Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon, which was a doc but it was shot like a movie (kudos to Mike Meyers).
Wow, this guy is so interesting- I can't believe I've never heard of him. He has the best how did you get in the business story I have ever heard. This is definitely worth seeing.

Saw Kong yesterday.  Very little plot and what there was was dumb.  Kong looked good and the battles were entertaining.  Stay until credits are over & see where this franchise is going.

Great funny throwback to all the classic worship films of the 60's/70's - plus the lead actress is pretty damn fine in this. Hell, turn down the volume and just play Dopethrone or Come my Fanatics while watching this movie.

Not a Movie, but fuck you: The X-Files Season 6 episodes 4 & 5. Dreamland. Michael McKean plays Morris, a high ranking Area 51 agent that, due a tear in the spacetime continuum, caused during some kind of advanced alien craft test flight malfunction, "switches places" with Mulder. Well done, has deep conspiracy arc references and is fun at the same time... Michael McKean!
