Title: IT
Post by: bbottom on September 09, 2017, 02:17:14 PM
I went into this movie not expecting much and boy were my expectations wrong. It is a fantastic movie. They streamlined the story (which is what every Stephen King story needs) and added a lot of humor. The kids in it are fantastic and Pennywise is actually scary.
This is easily one of the best movies that I've seen all year.

It was pretty good. Not the best, but definitely fun enough.

Liked this more than I though I would. Good film. Good balance between horror, visuals, "coming of age". Yes, it pays homage to the original, but that's it, not a remake, but a clearcut redoing, and it needed it. I was one that never got the accolades for the original. Thought it was a piece of shit, like 90% of King's book adaptations.

This is not a piece of shit. Borrows more from Stranger Things/Spielberg than the original film, which is fine...but also adds elements of Nightmare on Elm Street (the original), Stand By Me, and well Goonies. Good mish mash with some disturbing childhood themes as well as very adult ones.
