Title: Walken, Cutthroats 9, Moses at El Rio SF 1/8/11
Post by: deleted account on January 10, 2011, 01:25:48 PM
best show at El Rio in years due to the musicianship of the bands and the sound quality of the venue.  my only complaint would be the late start due to Moses starting late and playing a short set.  they were killer though, and from that set I'd have to say they are the next big thing around here.  C-9 was fucking great.  made me wish they were doing new shit together cuz they sounded as great as they ever did.  Walken played intensely and tight as usual, great mix of old and new shit.

can't say enough about the sound that night.  it's usually ok there but the mix was perfect for whatever reason(s).  don't hesitate to go there for shows now

What has the rhythm section of Cutthroats 9 been up to?, remember they had a new band when Unsane started up again but totally forgot about it.

don't know about the bass player but Will Carrol's been drumming for Death Angel and I believe there was an Old Granddad show not too long ago
