Title: Black Death
Post by: The Shocker on May 14, 2011, 08:21:18 PM
Motherfucking awesome.  Superficially similar to The Wicker Man, which is a classic.  Agents of the Church go to investigate a village that is uninfected by the plague.  Has some good violence, great acting & brings up interesting ideas about Christianity vs Witchcraft & Athiesm.  Available on Blu-ray (and streaming?) on Netflix.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to check this out.

So Cage's "The Wicker Man" was good? Or is there another movie with the same title? (/confused)

No, Cage's was terrible. There's a classic from the early 70's with Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee.  Whatever you do, don't read anything about it before watching it.
