Here's a little something I made up.
Salami sammies on 60 cent day old bread. Picked this all up at Walmart. Pickles, mustard, American cheese, all Walmart brand. Then some Walmart seasoned fries and the most expensive ingredient-sriracha!
And tomorrow's breakfast- hot dog buns with pb&j and some Hershey's syrup because I skate an AAA midget and then D2 college game ) need calories and lots...humble brag on food and hockey( post your $2.00 meals in this thread! Bone appetite! Bonjour

This is a great thread that will blow up massively. I'm excited for $2 buck chuck!
I've got a bunch of poverty meal staples I used in really lean times. Mostly combining a couple items you can buy at Dollar Tree.
i can throw down a a killer bolony sammy for under 2 bucks.
Box of macaroni and cheese with a can of tuna added
Leftover pasta or potatoes, fried, mixed into eggs (frittata)
LOL
Today's $2 meal!

im going to caution against that. fries are good and get a free pass but im not down with whatever the 'meat' is. dump the sports drink and get a beer.
I'd smash the fuck out of that. Standing at the sink or wherever.
Mortlock doesn't recognize a chicken nugget when he sees it.
So what to do when you have too many hot dog buns? Make a $2.00 meal! This one is more like $.50. It's value packed and protein packed— a power bomb of flavor and health!

lets just say power bomb of flavor and leave it at that.

I've been experimenting with soup lately.
Kick up your half of a block of ramen with some pork rinds! The ramen was 20 cents and I get the pork rinds at the Dollar Tree when they're about to expire and are $.50. So this meal is less than a buck.
The more rich bisque like soup you see is Progresso chicken enchilada soup kicked up with more rinds (BRIM's brand) and some phony cheese-its from Dollar Tree. The soup is a bit lavish at $1.59 from Walmart but they are $2.29 a can at the local grocery monopoly (Giant Eagle) so the soup is the most expensive menu item.
I am 100% against the non-breakup of ramen noodles.

This meal is more than $2 but boy is it good. Nugs Potatoes and Gozu pot sticklers
Again with the Ranch though :(
Shut the fuck up, Lumpy.
Don't I get to have a say??
At least its not tartar sauce. I hope.
The adult children avoiding vegetables thread.
Shut the fuck up and go cook a ridiculously obnoxious elaborate meal, RAGER.
I already did you fucking piece of notebook paper with the big lines!
should get you about 4 meals and cost around $20
saute chopped onion and garlic
add 1 tablespoon cinnamon and cumin, 2x cans or boxes of lentil soup, 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes, 1 can garbanzos
cook 20+ minutes then add handful of raisins
cook 5 minutes then squeeze in a lime and serve
garnish with yogurt and bread if you feel like it
you can really stretch it if you serve it over rice or cooked potatoes
How about pick some kale out of a neighbors yard and throw that in too.
How much a good green Split-Pea soup with Ham-Hock? Yee-Haw@! Do a burn out!
Get the smoked hock at a Mercado or Russian store for the cheap. Labeled ahumado in Spanish.
Updates: I've been working on my recipes since my work has been closed.

A whimsical twist on Piskettios (got can at Dollar Tree and chips are sadly name brand "Lay's" LOL )
can of black beans
bag of frozen shelled edamame
bunch of cilantro
slider buns
cheese
you already have a jar of chipotles, garlic, cumin, and bbq sauce on hand
into the food proc: edamame, black beans, chipotle peppers, some bbq sauce, some olive oil, some cumin, some cilantro, s+p. fry it up and put it on the buns with more sauce and cheese
boom, vegan sloppy joes on the cheap.
