Title: Caravan
Post by: FloydianDragonaut on June 12, 2013, 02:00:39 AM
Any of you guys into Caravan at all? The other day I went for a hike in the woods and decided to put on "in the land of grey and pink" for the first time in a couple years. Forgot how much I love that album. "Winter Wine" and "9 feet underground" are both prog classics for me. Not often I like a band where the keyboards play more of a role than the guitars but this is the exception to that. Nice album cover too, reminds me of Tolkien.

I was thinking about buying more albums by them. Wasn't sure which other ones were worth getting and they seem pretty hard to find on vinyl.

Great band, underrated album. I also like "If I Could Do It All Over Again, I'd Do It All Over You"  and "For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night" which is a bit heavier than the usual Caravan stuff.

"The show of our lives" live BBC recordings are pretty great.

"Place of my own" would be my favorite track by them.
