Tonight will be duck leg confit atop garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted carrots.  Side salad.  That's pretty classic.  I'll try and remember a pic.

I've never tried fish tacos, always thought they sounded nasty, but that pic does look great and interesting. I've tried duck once and didn't like it tho. Too gamey and boney for my tastes.

I brined & smoked a young duckling, parted the meat and put in in a batch of jambalaya. Was a bit disappointed with the results. I guess i got no class either. Going back to roaster chickens for that.

I would consider smoked duck to be a little too strong flavor for a jam.  Chicken good.  i would have just had a charcuterie plate with some salumi from Olympic provisions and some cheese from Cheese Bar.

Same here, Rager. I like to stick with fruit (primarily the berry family) for jams.

At some point you have to accept that noone cares about your fabulous life but yourself.
Have fun with that.

thanks, it was pretty tasty.  i would have liked the steak a bit thicker and a little more rare but still good.  that cheese is a-fucking-mazing.  Read the thing I posted about it in the cheese thread.

One of my secret things with sauerkraut (at least I've never had it elsewhere this way) is to add it to lentil soup or a liverwurst sandwich.
