Are there any of you using apps or sites for music collaboration? Or maybe to collaborate with other artistic mediums? What do you recommend? What can you tell me about it?
Up until a couple months ago, there used to be BandHub, which was alright, but full of perfectionists... apparently it didn't make money and got shut down, though :(
My own band just passes files around on Google Drive to collaboratively write stuff - if you can put down a click track for the song as a WAV, layering things on top of it isn't too hard, but it's annoying keeping stuff in sync without sharing a Reaper project or something.
We should jam. Somebody post a drum beat
Bandlab looks like a possibility.
Outside of using a particular platform, I figure I know how I could do it with a mobile phone and Audacity. I figure keeping the learning curve (for others) and gear minimal is wise.

I can get something up this weekend.
Do it, I'll contribute \m/
I think we tried this several years ago. I kinda remember sharing a drum track.
Sure did.
This was one I'd sang on.

This was one I'd kicked off with guitar. Zachoff played bass.

Ok, here is a drum track for something slow. I included a half assed chart, mostly so you can get the arrangement without listening a billion times.
It's electronic and could be replaced by a real drummer too.
If you come up with something and want to tweak the arrangement some let me know i should be able to fairly easy.

FYI, I did have some riffage, mostly as a guide, but wiped it to make room for other players. I could share it if you need to jump start the ideas though.
Very cool, thanks for putting this together. Please do send riffs... I'm going to come up with something on my own but it'll be interesting to compare. Should have time to fuck with this tomorrow
I jammed on those drums yesterday, found some cool stuff. I'll record it tonight and post
Here's what I came up with. If you're into it I'll clean up the fuckups and add another layer to thicken up the tone.

Ren, I think you are on to something there Do you need me to trim or tweak it any?
I don't think so? I'm not too good with song structure. If you have any suggestions let me know
This is about as good a guitar tone as I've been able to get from my Direct In setup so far. It's just an MXR micro amp plugged into a Scarlett 2i2, using Logic's amp and speaker modelling.
I'm not sure if the riff at 3:11 is really working, seems out of place?
The whole thing needs bass, lead guitar, atmosphere of some sort (maybe some sort of satanic chanting)

Cool! Can you upload your isolated guitar track? Make sure to set the soundcloud file to downloadable.
Count it in by tapping on your pickups or playing something percussive. It will help me line up the soundwaves, but can be cut out when done.
Done, I just muted the drums after the count in that was already there

Can you do that as a .wav file?
This work?

Wow, that fattened things up some. Sounding pretty cool
Anyone else wanna take a stab at adding something to this?
If someone suggests a clip or dialog from a film, or just records themselves reading like a first hand exorcism account from the dark ages or something, I will do shenanigans on it and mix it in.
Or like some Goblinesque spooky arpeggios and synthesized artifacts?
This record goes to press on June 1 so we are working under a strict deadline
Sound Trap https://www.soundtrap.com looks like it could be good. I signed up and would love to give it whirl.
I signed up for it when you mentioned it a week back or whenever (does time still exist?), haven't had a chance to whirl yet though.
on the backburner for a minute but very interesting project(s).
i'm going to start dicking around with this
Here's one I need drums on, or bass.... https://www.mediafire.com/download/ywnm01zzjgy
