Let me guess how it ends:  They steal the plans for the Death Star.

Seeing it at 9:30 tonight at a luxury theater (My standards not Shaft's) with reserved seats and recliners.
Killing threads is my business and business is good.

this was the first time that vader is actually scary. That ending is so rad

I loved it except for the  guy next to me that played on his phone the whole time and then fell asleep and snored for 40 minutes.

Probably the best of them all. I liked it a lot. My only criticism was that Vader's mask looked a little plastic.

CanookieWookie

A fucking fantastic movie.  So much better than The Force Awakens.

Danny G

Holy shit. Intense.

Spoiler alert:

Most of the main characters die and Peter Cushing is already dead.

I wish I could watch that ending all night right now.

Yeah socket and I kept talking about it after.   It's possibly one of the most bad ass Star Wars scenes ever.

Yeah holy shit that scene!

Quite good. Two years in a row I get to take my boy to watch a new Star Wars flick. I'm on team Disney now. So much better without Lucas to screw it up.

gritty_fingers

I liked it more than last year's Force Awakens.

Dylan Thomas

I liked it, though not nearly as much as The Force Awakens.

I really couldn't get into any of the main characters whatsoever (except Vader, of course), and the pacing was pretty whack for about 95% of the movie.

The ending was amazing, and a real payoff for me.  I'll see it again, though I'm really glad that I didn't buy into all the "best since Empire" hype, because for me, it's not even in the same ballpark.
The fact that I kept setting my own boats on fire was considered charming.

The blu ray Bonus disc is great.

I can watch any movie with a pretty girl in it.

In the end its a heist-movie without a heist. What was the plan again? "We find a way to steal it when we find it" or something like that. Missed opportunity.

socket

Sleezy, let me borrow that.

I loved the premise of this film, and have seen it three times. I'm a more laid back ST fan...I liked the first three and saw one of the prequels and hated it. Skipped all the rest, don't read the books and haven't seen the animated stuff. I just don't care enough to bother. Saw the Force Awakens and thought it was cash grabby and kind of lame, but looked good.

Saw the trailer, which ended up not including the best parts of the tease in a few cases, and was sold. I do like Gareth Edwards' work, so went and checked it out and loved it. This one is definitely not received well for ones wanting the same dumbed down script in a different package or kids that don't understand the politics involved (when I saw it in the theater, all the chiilins were bored to shit).

We need more of this style of SW imo
