Title: With the Dead - ST (members of E-wiz and Cathedral)
Post by: gritty_fingers on October 20, 2015, 08:44:20 PM
I've been listening to this a lot.

I hate to say this but this out-wizards some of the latter Electric Wizard albums- at least in heaviness.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this record yet.

Agreed. The video for crown  of burning stars is pretty uplifting too.

I'll have to check it out, though honestly I'm pretty fried on the whole "out heavies" thing.  I like the recent E. Wiz records (minus Time To Die, which didn't do anything for me) because the song writing is so good.  Witchcult today is catchy and awesome, and Black Masses took it a step even further in the awesome songwriting department.

How are the songs in comparison to those albums??

I heard the first song and it sounded promising but I haven't been able to give it time yet.  I like what you guys are saying about it though.

Am I the only one that thinks Ramesses  was better than later period Electric Wizard?

With the Dead is good.
