Title: The World At War on DVD
Post by: Baltar on May 01, 2011, 01:00:09 PM
This is an 11 disc set from the 1973 documentary.  It is mostly composed of newsreel footage which might put you off at first, however the naration by Sir Lawrence Olivier is captivating.  Combined with interviews with Hitler's secretary, Jimmy Stewart (was a Commander in the Air Force), countless members of the British cabinet, SS members, and Holocaust survivors from all over Europe.  Well worth the watch and I nabbed mine free from the public library.

I used to watch this stuff whenever it was on when I was a kid. Loved it.
