Title: Friends of the library
Post by: diasdegalvan on December 20, 2012, 09:15:56 PM
Does your local library have one of these? Been where I've been buying books for the past year trade paperback for $1.50 hardcover for $2 no taxes since the books are donated money goes to support the library. Kind of odd since well you know free books next door.

My library does. I think most libraries have something similar.

Ours has a massive twice annual book sale that gets mobbed - you can pay an extra $5 and get in an hour early.   Used to be swamped by all the local used book store operators that came in and bought boxes, they have since disappeared since no one wants stupid paper books.

I have about 100 I bought over the years - lots of NYT bestseller list items and other classy stuff. Shit yeah.
