those shits need picked. nice though. got about 12 shiitake logs outside waiting for spring. harvested easily 50lbs all told last summer, probably more. fucking nuts, picking three big mixing bowls full, forgetting about them for a couple weeks, and having them covered again the first time you think to check on them. fucking awesome nuts.
had a really good spot for it last year though, not expecting to be able to wrangle that kind of harvests this time without the benefit of a deep, cold, spring-fed pond to help me.
^^ That's awesome duder. My girls uncle and his old lady are commercial growers of shiitakes and maitakes. When we go out there they give us like 5-10lbs.
I cooked those oyster mushrooms last night in a red wine balsamic sauce over seared duck breasts medium rare. ohmyfugod.
