I thought the first episode was great. Really captures the feel of the film, without trying to be a carbon copy. It really did a good job of making you feel like your back in the same town, watching some different fucked up shit. Can't wait to see the rest, and I'm glad they're only doing 10 episodes.
Also, Billy Bob is beyond fucking great. He should stick to acting...his band sucks.
Yes, its very good. Wonder were the story will go. Thorntons character has touches of Anton Chigurh, thats nice.
Very good first episode.
I got bored half-way thru and went to porn instead.

I couldn't get through it, either. About 35 minutes in I shut it off.
Wife and I split it up over 2 nights.
Billy Bob's bangs are ridiculous but that little speech he gives to the cop and then drives away is chilling.
The whole last third of the episode was pretty amazing. Really looking forward to seeing where they take this show.
Watched it a second time. Just as good.
Can't wait to get home and watch the next one.

yep..
I just wish he was darker and more savant-like..he's got a bit of goofy in him that makes him less creepy then say..Bardem in No Country for Old Men. The episode was a little slow. The last half hour was the best.
What is "a dink and a lepton"?
'What type of bone will a dog not eat?'
'Chicken!'
'....A trombone.'
I love it. Great new show. Well-written characters, excellent cast, well shot and consistently surprising. I am fully on board.
This show is great. I am starting to look forward to this.
Yeah! Sort of.
Great show, Billy Bob Thornton can still act his ass off.
I like the show and look forward to seeing it but I wish they would have cast somebody else other than Billy Bob. He's just not believable to me as a bad ass.
Really? I don't particularly like him but I thought his performance was stellar and understated.
I didn't think he was trying to play it as a badass at all. Just a smart, creepy weirdo who kills people. I thought he was great.
The whole thing was really well done, I thought. Can't wait to see what they do for a second season.
Everyone on the cast was phenomenal.
Boy, that Lester...what a douche.

I hope there won't be a second season. What would be the point.
It's about time US television embraces the concept of TV serials.
Is no second season it's a miniseries and done
I did read a recent interview with Noah Hawley where he insinuated that there would be enough material to tell more stories surrounding the people from that part of the US. And IMDB has a second season listed.
Not that either of those two things mean anything.
A second season would be ridiculous. Just milking it IMO. I don't care how the she-sheriff's life with the dipshit mailman turns out. I doubt anyone else does either.
It got picked up for a second season, from what I understand.
I'll watch.
I will too.
The elevator scene was one of the best scenes I have ever seen in a tv show.
Yeah, that whole opening sequence was phenomenal.
Aces.
welp, they went and done it.

I predict at least 30% suckage.
Hmmmm
I guess if they treat these shows like a 12 part mini-series they can keep rebooting them with a new cast.
Works for me, as long as the writing is spot on.
New characters and new storyline, that could work.
Imagine coming in to this series at episode 6 thinking it was episode 2.
This happened to me. I was totally lost, and couldn't catch up on-demand.
Bailed to return at a later date.
Love the rebooted new season ep 1.
1st ep of the new season has me ready to go for more.
Todd from Breaking Bad is getting fat and Ted Danson getting funny? WTF
Todd? How about fat Kirsten Dunst!
and stachless tinfoil hat Offerman is great as well.
Really looking forward to this season!
She's got giant tits.
The Internet snarkily calls the husband Meth Damon, which is awesome.
The main cop is Molly's dad from season 1. I guess the out of state mafia is going to show up, chaos ensues. That diner sequence was great, looks like Rye isn't a main character though, sad about that.

Fat?
you don´t know what you´re talking about
she looks awesome
tits bit too big for my tase but wtf
the first episode was absolute top notch
loved it a bunch!
not only cause it´s set in the 70s...
Fat compared to her usual self. Plump if you will.
And I ain't complaining.
How come Gramps didn't bring the St Louis thugs in for questioning?
this second season so far ist absolutely awesome
Massive Genius is pretty awesome in this show.
Ted Danson still killing it & Meth Damon's Moobies!!!
Dunst is not fat, just delicious, but she's trouble my friend.
man
that scene with danson and woodbine was unbeleivable indeed
and yes dunst seems to be bad news
very bad
So far I'm liking this season more than the last. Great characters all around, and everyone with that ridiculous accent.

Right there with you. This show is so good that I get disappointed when each episode end. Everybody is acting their asses off.
Dodd is a bad mutha
At times this show tries too hard, Bokeem Woodbine is awesome.
And I'd take a piece off Dodd ass any day of the week.

Man, last season was excellent, but this season is on a whole nother level. Also, fantastic soundtrack.

This season is having a re-birth of television imo, kinda like Breaking Bad. It's so Tarantino it's not funny, and that is a compliment.
Now that the cop & Indian are onto the Dunst and Meth & the families are going to war.....HOLY SHIT!!!!

He's great, and he gets most of the best lines, too. I love the crack about the prog rock band, and the speech about how Midwesterners are mean in the nicest way.
It took me a few episodes to warm up but I'm now fully on board with this season.
It's Cohen Brothers not Tarantino
Coen, racist.
Whammy!
Not really
Tarentino would've fucked this up.
This IS the best thing on television.
Only reason I'm keeping my cable at the moment.
Cable? Holy fuck, it's aboot the torrents maaaan.
Killer show this season.
Fucking great episode. Scene with Ted Dansen was touching. Scene with Bear and the Indian was great too. Could have done without the period incorrect Jeff Tweedy song, but the butcher shop scene was intense. Anybody catch the Boston right before it?

This season is amazing..writing, acting, etc
The jabberwocky "poem" voice over from Milligan was spot on genius. This makes me forget about all the horseshit shows Ive sat through the last couple of years
Seems like every episode highlights a character (and actor), and hot damn every episode ends with AM 70's Boogie Rock.
\titties
also, it includes James Hetfields best performance since And Justice For All!

The women had some good scenes this week.
Same roads, different destinations
More women should smoke pipes. That was hot.
this show keeps getting better and better
last episode was unbeleivable
Is everybody but Solverson (and his kid) going to wind up dead?
What was the "Indian" going to do after the haircut?
Dodd ruled!!! R.I.P.
Mike Milligan is one cool mofo "would you be offended if I kissed you on the lips?"

Could really have lived without the UFO shit.
Hanzee is basically the Terminator or the dude from The Guest.

i´m not to sure about that ufo shit either
if it doesen´t get mentioned anymore next episode i´d say ok - cool
otherwise meh
mybe it is jus a one off thing though
Unbelievable!!!!
The UFO didn't bother, kind of in the same realm as the frogs falling from the sky in the 1st season.
Sad about Lou's wife, but guess it was gonna happen anyway.
Everyone's dead!!!!! Next week is the finale......who is left besides Ed, Peggy, Lou, Hanzee, Mike & his boy &.........the guy from Buffalo...hhmmm hmmm, gonna be good no matter what.
It was fish that fell out the sky in S1. The frogs were in the movie "Magnolia".
That Fargo this week was incredible.

I'm watching this episode for a third time.
as good as this episode was
you should seriously consider getting a job
too much spare time=no good
Tremendous ending for Mike Mulligan
bit underwhelmed after all the gung ho. this felt like an hour of hugging.
Fucking brilliant season. And Sabbath sure sounded fine.

Now now, let's reflect on this for a min:
Mike gets a 9-5 gig for being the badass gangster he is, ok that did suck. Peggy is batshit crazy, R.I.P. Ed. Hanzee got away with it all...got a new identity and returns in Season 1 briefly and becomes a gang leader for 3 centuries.
Best part is Betsy sees a glimpse into the future and we get to see Lou, Molly & Hanks.....also we find out Ted Danson isn't crazy, he was just trying to create a language.
I liked it, but I felt Mike got the short end of the stick here.
Season 3 in 2017
I thought that was pretty much a perfect finale to a fantastic season.
I'm still only like 6 episodes in, just got past the episode where buddy bangs buddys wife while saying buddy banged his wife (tried keeping the spoilers down)
I thought this show was going to be a lot more funny. First episode was jokes but it's just been getting darker and sadder as it goes on frankly. Hope it starts to get better from here
The Raising Arizona inspired dream sequence was brilliant.
Two seasons in, and so far, this show can do no wrong.
I wonder if they are going to go back to the '30s next season? There was a lot of gangster lore in the north.
Good news - Shows been renewed for a new season
Bad news - New season not till 2017 ::)
Lorne Malvo or Mike Milligan?
Mike
Mike
Mike for me.
Mike's voice though...
mike
not by a landslide
but as good as malvo was
mike for sure
Dodd

Next season will be set in 2010
Won't touch season two with a 10 foot pole, but will watch for the campy fun cookyness.
promising start for season 3
same recipe as usual
greed -> dumb plan -> dumb people hired -> haywire
mc gregor is real good
esp in his second role as the loser brother
Season 3 is so far, so great. Slick writing and great acting will do that. Watching for the easter eggs/Coen film homage adds to it.
the first half of the last episode was the nightmarishest thing i´ve seen in a long time
lots of easter eggs too
plain awesome show
Yeah, plus the hot girl.
You're talking about Carrie Coon, right?
ok after the season finale i gotta say good season but not as good as the previous two
Yeah, but still memorable.
Between this The Americans and Saul it was a fine spring/summer for TV.
totally love the americans
best show on tv
never watched saul - yeah yeah know i should but
so many shows so little time
still have to watch new twin peaks
Season 3 pulled it back. excellent!!
so you didn't like season 2 ?
me? I liked em both, 1 and 2. 3 was a slower burner but came together very nicely. it helps that I'm in love with Mary Elizabeth Winstead but y'know. why doesn't she call? :'( ;D
