Title: Death Penalty woulda been a great Cathedral album!
Post by: joshredearth on December 04, 2014, 03:58:31 PM
Listening to the Death Penalty cd by Gaz of Cathedral...loving the music...but the vocals are distracting and sound weak...also just not feeling the phrasing...hoping this'll grow on me as this is top-notch doom riffing...sorry but I'm left wondering what could've been a great Cathedral album! it always seemed to me like they cared way too much about what fans expected...fans wants doomed they played doomier...upbeat; they played more upbeat...what the Hell do we know...artists should just create as they like and let the fans piss and moan...Lol...myself included!

Another 2014 I slept on.  There's too much music.  I bought 22 new records this year and feel inadequate still.  Stonerrock, the horror...

You are right. Great album that would have killed as a Cathedral album. Gaz is a riff God.
