I was in a pub with a friend who described it as follows:

'Imagine if the Nazis had won the war...umm actually that is pretty much it.'

I am intrigued but haven't got round to watching it yet. There is almost a whole sub-genre of 'imagine if the Nazis...' type shows and films.

I just watched an 'imagine if the Nazis invaded earth from the moon' film on Netflix (Iron Sky) and it was terrible.

The book is exceptionally weird.  From an exceptionally weird author.  It's not surprising that the story is kinda out there at all.  Almost all of Phillip K. Dick's work has been heavily changed to make it make sense in a visual format.  I still think Ubik could be a fucking awesome movie though as is.

Rufus Sewell was great. I liked it but the whole story only started to get going during the last two episodes. Could be a good foundation for a second season.

Philip k Dick to me is the real life Killgore Trout from the Vonnegut books. I read a lot of both as a teen. Big ideas.

He was an unknown looney and pretty great. I liked Valis only the second time I read it as an adult.

Bummer I quit after a few episodes of the first season for this reason.  When I saw there was a season 2 I kept kinda wanting to re-check it out due to the interesting concept.

It probably won't be boring when it happens for real.

I LOVE the book, as I'm a huge fan of Dick.

I really liked the first season, though I'm having a lot of trouble getting into the second season.  I haven't made it through the first episode yet without falling asleep, and I've tried several times at this point.

I am also a huge fan of the book, but just cannot get into the TV series - only just made it through the fifth episode of series one, it seems like an obligation to work my way through it, but just doesn't have the feel of PKD to me.
