I have a buddy in Flint, Michigan who just picked up an old SUNN cab.
It's got what looks like two JBL's and a horn. He just got it last night and had to clean 50 years of gunk off it. I've never seen one before and I can't find any on Google. He paid $50 for it.
PA cabinet probably.
Oh, it says PA cab in the ad, sorry.
It might not be a Sunn?
Looks like it's part plywood, part masonite (rear view)? Kind of weird to mix materials like that (?)
It's not Masonite, I think it might be dust. He said the grill cloth was so damaged by cig smoke that it looks wheat, not silver. It's definitely a SUNN, but I've never seen that particular 2x12 before.
I know exactly what it is. 8)
You can wash the grillcloth in the shower with a little baby shampoo/mild liquid soap. Apply suds lightly, wait a second, rinse. Cleans up easy. Dry the wood frame with a towel. (I've done this).
Note: Take it off the front of the cab first.
Cool, thanks Lumpy. I'll pass it on to my buddy. He's gonna take some more pics and I'll post them when he sends 'em.
