I suppose I'll be seeing this.

eh, the trailer sealed the deal...

I won't be seeing this, at least not til it hits cable. Just took on the mold of the "super hero CGI fest" that Hollywood pumps out like water these days. This would've been amazing in the right hands, noir, dark, etc. Instead, it looks like an Xmen spinoff.

Looks like a "re-boot" instead of following the books, which were brilliant.

Medicore at  best. Elbra and McConaughey are hardly doing anything, and for a wannabe-blockbuster the production-values are lame.
I didn't read the books so I can't say anything about that.

Its the same like with the first "The Lord Of The Rings" movie from 1978: They tried to put the content of tree books in a 2h movie. Also at the time the technic wasn't ready for such an undertaking. "The Dark Tower" has content of eight books and the movie just goes 1,5h. Says it all.

I hope that the series of "The Dark Tower" will do the books justice...

Finally saw this. Met my expectations, which were super low anyway.

I think part of the reason Steven King became so rich is because he really lets anyone fuck up his adaptations.

So yeah this was of course disappointing. And I didn't even take issue with Roland being a black dude.
