So 'Griffin' drum hardware is a low-quality brand right??

I got curious and started looking around
this guy did a review on a griffin snare. not much out there about them. he mentions all the hardware is stamped and thinly chromed, but did its job = cheaper mass production technique vs forged or milled parts. also, that snare looks like a modder's special for $40 according to that guy.

so I would say from that, the answer is yes, but might be passable.

If you leave your shit set up and are not playing out, it will just sit there and hold cymbals probably just fine.  The real test for hardware is setting it up and breaking it down repeatedly and being thrown into the back of a van with shit on top of it over and over again.
