You are correct. The original Pearly is not. However, all Billy's stage guitars are chambered for weight relief. Hell, I think even the necks are chambered somehow. Billy's got a bad back.

There are guitars out there that I would be happy to buy off that internet, and would trust that it is of reasonable quality before getting the chance to play it.

But I can't put Gibsons in that category.  In fact I'd put them in the category furthest away from that.
