reverb nation

I just started a reverb nation account. Im still not quite sure how to use it. It just seems like an advertising page with not much interaction going on. Am I wrong? Do people use it like Myspace or Facebook? Like I said, Im brand new there and dont know shit about it, Im just tired of the dead sea of Myspace and my mom posting on Facebook and miss the band links and hookups over at myspace.

After playing around with it a little, its clearly mostly made up of hip hop people. I found a few local bands that I know, but not much.

It seems like a definite step up from myspace and has a bunch of esoteric tools that I'll never use or understand.
