Higher Gain Tube

I read that this big russian 12AX7 has a gain of 100-150 whereas a normal 12AX7 only has 100, true?

Sounds a bit made up, the fain factor is kind of a determining thing as to being a 12AX7, and more would generally come at the cost of something else, like how much current the push or something.

for any tube there may be a statistical distribution of what you might consider higher gain tubes with mu's that are larger than the average but i dont think these claimed mu's mean much.

According to the mfg. the amp factor varies between 85 - 110 averaging at about 91.
