Everyone has mishaps with their gear, this is a pictorial tribute to the stuff that has gotten seriously messed up.

Here's a wall wart that I left plugged in during a lightning storm. I won't be repairing it.

No accident befell this amplifier, it was just poorly designed, I've no idea what the official rating of these connectors is, but it obviously couldn't handle the current draw for the heater supply. Modular makes things easier to build, but hardwire is going to last longer.
