Made a couple of salads for our family BBQ tonight...turned out pretty good!
Green salad with bacon crumbles and jack cheese

I freeze everything that gets near a salad before serving. The bowls and plates and forks.

I normally do that to when I'm having guests over...this was a quick BBQ with my mom & bro. I usually freeze everything for cold desserts as well.

I made a jicama salad for the first time the other night. Jicama,red bell pepper,carrots, tomatoes. Lime vinagrette dressing with cilantro and jalapeno.

jicama is one of the few veggies I don't like.  don't hate it, mostly just doesn't make sense to me on a primal level

Wife digs it,but the jury is still out on it for me. It's defintely turd on its own. It takes on flavors nicely though.
