Dreaming about atmospheric reverbs like what RANGER uses. There's a bunch now (Supermoon, Afterneath, Dispatch Master)

Dreaming about a delay with a non-latching switch for runaway feedback.

Shit, I was gonna report back on an octaver my bass player uses. It's one from that series, a brown Boss, I believe it's the 2. He swears by it.

Omlet

Fuk...

And it seems that it's so fucking cheap... Must grab it one day :D

And also:

Because Peter Steele. That's why.

No worries. The 3 does more than the 2 and the Micro POG. Going to get a used one and experiment with it.

mutantcolors

Yeah, he was saying though, there's something about THE model he uses that the others can't quite replicate. Overheard him gearheading out with the soundguy at a venue, going on about octavers.

liquidsmoke

I've read on various websites that the 2 sounds better but the 3 can also operate polyphonically with adjustable range. So basically it has Micro POG and OC-2 features and then some even if it doesn't sound as good as either or track as good as the Micro POG. I figure it's a good one to start with for experimentation.

mutantcolors

If the 3 sounds even close, it oughta be good.

liquidsmoke, get the Bit Commander.

Well, fuck me. Autumn glo Ric. Probably they are just too rare and too expensive for me. I will be extremely happy with any 4001/4003 but still...

wonder if this would make a nice little casual setup:

12 watt all tube 2x10. I dig my $99 greta a ton. this looks like more of the same. GC is doing them for $229.

and a nice Ibanez cut-away acoustic electric for $169. I cant find the picture, but they have a blue one and a black one.
damn.

anyway, for $400 this could be nice.  I think I may test out the combo later today. I also want to see what the deal on the TC electronics reverbs is since they have some of those that I can audition. also, there is a nice lexicon multi-effects unit in the used dept.

lexicon used to be expensive nice stuff. maybe score a vintage 2 grand reverb for a couple hundred some day. right now you can score seriously nice tube pre-amps and channel strips, compressors, etc for cheap. like the old school hi-end studio stuff that everyone is replacing or w/e

edit: also I am seriously scanning craigslist for a used taylor 314ce.  I saw one once. usually see more of those real expensive ones made out of all those weird woods, or 414ce's which sound lame, in spite of the higher price.
if any of you have a 314ce you want to sell. I give 9bills cashish right now for it.

RAGER

I'm happy to say that I'm not really gassing for anything right this moment 'cept for maybe a Hovercraft Dwarvenaut 20 maybe but not bad.

I put the brakes on at the last second:  black Friday is only like 5 weeks away or so. and cyber Monday

besides, i'm PO'd at GC. they send me a flyer thing with a 15% off anything over $299 card.  it says see exclusions on back.
Lo and behold, there on the back was thee entire fucking NAMM show exhibitor's list. Fuck me running, wtf kind of tard thought that up.

VOLVO)))

LS that ehx pitchfork would do you right for real, for 131$ and a small footprint?

Too good not to.

If I had the money I may get a delay pedal to fart around with.

Would also like a Univibe clone or something similar. Love my Phase 90 w-R28 mod toggle switch, but I'd like more transparency and a bit more depth

Looked into Univibe builds.

Shit, looks tricky with the photo resistors and iso-thing for them. I don't have those parts just laying around :/

50 bucks:

Works for me. Metal housing, true bypass.

Negative: slight delay before it kicks in.

This pedal also boost the signal noticeably, which could be good or bad depending upon what you need.

Sample (pedal kicks on about .45 on a slow setting, then a faster setting around 3:15):

I had/might still have an old Danelectro cool cat chorus pedal.

I have to admit, that thing looks pretty cool. I'm sure it sounds great. At the same time though, it's funny to me the lengths that some of these "retro" design companies will go to to have old looking products. I can just imagine some of the conversations... "Ok good, it's got a meter..  What are we planning to case it in?" ... "hmm.. just some Hammond enclosures.. Hey, do we have any old wood laying around?.... hmm.. only new wood... Well can we make it look like old wood?"
