I'm not looking for bags/cases for my drums but instead some kind of bag to tote my cymbal stands around. Recommend away fellers.
I love you, sir.

Mr. Foxen

My drummer keeps his shit in one of these, its beasty, good for standing on and bouncing down stairs. The wheels + handle that extends put it ahead of any other drum hardware case I've had to lug about.

When I saw Sons of Otis he packed his stands into an old golf bag. I thought that was pretty clever.

^this^^

Have been in bands with two different drummers who went that route.
One scored the golf bag cheap at a thrift store.
I'm sure craig's list, yard sales and used sporting goods joints would be places to find golf bags at a reasonable price.

Ingenious!

Now he just needs a caddy/roadie and some golf shoes.

Old Army duffle bag

My drummer has been using the same army duffel and leather cymbal bag since the 80's

My only issue with an army duffel is that it can get uncomfortable to carry. No padding so it can get somewhat pokey, and no structure, so the load can shift and get a bit awkward. They'll do the job though and they're big, and nice and cheap, so if you're only carrying your stands on short trips to and from the van, you'll probably be fine. I do like golf bags, though. Although smaller, they have padding, structure, and extra pockets for felts, washers, nuts, bags of meth - whatever you might need.
