I received a birthday present from a wonderful reader of my cigar blog.
Big Zep fan from the beginning.
I saw Zep everytime they hit L.A. back in the late 60's and 70's.
This album was recorded at the Long Beach Arena and the L.A. Forum in June 1972.
I attended all of the concerts.
I wrote a story about attending one of those concerts at the end of my cigar review: http://kohnhed.com/2016/01/15/cuban-ramon-allones-edicion-regional-gran-bretana-2012-cigar-review/

One of my biggest issues with all of the Zep albums was the bass was buried in the mix. This was how it was done back then.
But seeing John Paul Jones play live made my toupee spin like a top.
This album is remastered by Jimmy Page and released in 2003.
The sound is incredible and I've been listening to it every time I write a review with head phones.
The music is impeccable. And all the big faves are included in over 3 hours of music.
I highly recommend finding this CD set and snagging it.
Read my story and it will flesh things out a little more than I can here.

I never met the band but I met the roadies. Link to story at the bottom of the cigar review: http://kohnhed.com/2014/04/03/fratello-by-fratello-cigars-cigar-review/
Life is short. Treasure it.

I bought this for my girlfriend, now wife,  back in the dark ages when people bought physical copies and I have since packed it away.

I'm gonna have to get it out and listen with this review as my reminder.
Killing threads is my business and business is good.

it is a great contrast to the studio albums.   I snagged it when it came out.

box set + how the west was won....simple....

stooge

this is zeps true live album
song remains the same is ok in the complete recently released form
the double lp i hated it had one very good side (side 1) plus 4 extremely boring and lame songs with endless soloing on the other 3
if you skip those on the cd it´s a good listen
i didn´t forget - i just couldn´t remember...
