I agree with Disco above here.

But it also takes practice to own the stage. At least it did for me. (Which can be very different from person to person of course. Some jump around, some stand still and just look cool. But imo you can always notice if it's their stage or not.)

For me it's a mental thing. I'm up here and it's my music. I don't excuse myself for being there. But I also want to deliver some rock´n´roll. So I've learnt to move around  (a bit) on stage. It was kind of hard in the beginning or perhaps more uncomfortable so to speak. But with stage experience it got easier.

I think some of the stage presence should be practiced during band jam/practice/rehearsal

agent of change

Presence can't be practiced. It is the music moving through you. Stage moves can be practiced.

I didn't get this until I took an African dance class, and experienced the drums carrying me across the room. I'm guessing most of us don't get it because most of us don't dance.

Music moves you if you can learn to let it. And if you can channel good music.
We didn't come here for economic politics or religious bickering, we came to rock.

While this type of stage presence may not be exactly what we strive for in our favorite genre.  This is a good lesson in learning what is possible.
