Anyone else read this cool novel?  It's dark and totally phantasmal.  A friend loaned it to me because Alan Moore, Tom Waits and a bunch of other prominent pop-culture weirdos sing its praises.

It totally exceeds the hype for once, incredibly imaginative and the writing itself is so colorful.  I'm totally enthralled.
The fact that I kept setting my own boats on fire was considered charming.
