Oh yeah, when I saw QUI and Big Business these local dudes Lovely Sort of Death opened.

Get it, LSD. For the most part it is Jesus Lizard worship, but they put on a really great show and have memorably good songs such as this one

Edit: I dunno why i said "but". Obviously Jesus Lizard worship will lead to goodness.

You're late to the party, I already started with Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs!

Moving on to Meatjack, a discovery thanks to this thread.

A few personal still active favorites;

Multicult
https://multicult.bandcamp.com/album/spaces-tangled

Multicult is great, check out the guitarist's other long-running band The Wayward, I first saw them when they were still named Carrion in 2002- https://thewayward.bandcamp.com

Wayward is touring this month with Richmond's veteran noise rock band Hex Machine, who have a new album 'Cave Painting' just out- https://hexmachine.bandcamp.com

I feel like you threw Hex Machine out there like they were a mere after thought and I think they might be the band I have discovered from this thread that I like the most.

Multicult is some good stuff too. Still need to check out Wayward

Edit: Revisited both Hex Machine and Multicult today.... and follow up impression of Hex Machne is far less than it was upon initial listen, Multicult impression is seriously far better. This new Multicult album, specifically, is really fucking good and totally hitting the spot. Album ordered.

Big/Brave are pretty great.

Child Bite are like a combo of the Unsane and Black Flag, probably.

Listening to Big|Brave's album from this year, A Gaze Among Them. Fucking epic sludgey noisegaze, I absolutely love it

I remember when that Big/Brave album came out earlier this year, caught my attention but never got around to checking it out. Then when lftwng4 brought them back to my attention earlier in this thread, I was reminded about them again, had plans to revisit, and then never got around to it.

Listening to it the new one now.....better late than never.  Agreed, good stuff and sludgy noisegaze seems just about right for its descriptor.

I’ve seen em many times. Kinda got to know em a bit too. All nice guys. I miss em.

Only saw em twice with Kevin on drums. He seemed a good dude too.

I'm friends with Scott.  It's always rad seeing him, but the best was when I saw his band open for the goddam Butthole Surfers in a small, last minute, standing room only venue after Sunset Junction got cancelled a few years back.  It was like being in the 80's!

Seeing 400 Blows mentioned reminded me of the band It’s Casual...which def had a noise/punk/sludge sound. Dug what I heard from this band
