Local bakery's seed bread. So incredibly dense maybe because no gluten. Very hearty.

The lighting in kitchens is always too yellow for food photos. I’d like pissy to correct the color tones and repost or retake a photo in more natural light before we move forward.

Some of the dough from yesterday’s bread stuck to the proofing towel.  I collected it, rolled it out and fried it up this morning in garlic butter.  Grated some parmesan in top.
good stuff. Recommended.

I drank too much weed and left the potato on the cutting board last night, as pictured.

Back at it today. Bread is hard work!

I've made pizza crust, pancakes and naan with my starter but this remains the only full loaf I made with it
I bet it's matured quite a bit by now and would produce some really good shite

First bake off my starter, at 1 week old. Detectably sour, but only just.. I hear that's to be expected until it matures for a couple months? Anyway I'm happy with the results. Gonna make some pizza in a couple days

Goddam!

My dad had two pizza places on the boardwalk in Santa Monica when I was a kid, so technically, I’ve made a lot of dough, but it’s been 35+ years or some shit.  Right close to where Jack Tripper crashes the bike.

I remember making zucchini bread with my mom around the same time.  Otherwise, this shit is a mystery.

My stepdad is quite the accomplished cook, but he’d never done bread. He just sent me pictures of his first try. Epic.

Excited.  Bread!

Does cornbread count?

I've gone crazy the last couple of years experimenting with cornbread.  Some of the extras I like to throw into the mix include:

- Jalapenos (an old favorite for cornbread)
- Squash (version with sliced tomatoes on top pictured)
- Pineapple
- Mango
- Pimento Cheese (tried this today for the first time - was awesome)

This one time Somebody in ABQ sent me a hatch chile cornbread mix.  It was awesome.

Pimento cheese cornbread does sound good.

Instead of discarding your sourdough starter every feed, you fry up the discard with some za'atar and honey, chives whatever.

Right now it is easier to buy weed than it is to buy baker's yeast. I am not making matzos, damnit! What else you got for unleavened breads?

Baking soda and an acid? Milk and a squirt of lemon juice? That’s what the internet said.

Target shows yeast in stock, but I don’t want to go pick it up.

Come on potato!
