2nd Gen, pretty goddamn good condition. Shipped from California, should be here Friday, if he ships it tomorrow.

Pics or didn't happen! ;) Congrats on a nice find.

That's awesome man! A couple well-maintained model T's popped up around the Seattle area within the last month or so. A Gen 1 and 2, I believe. Couldn't justify the $1500-1750 asking prices just to run dual stacks like an asshole. As stated in an older thread, I too would have liked a Verellen T clone, but the price increase shot that idea down.  :'(

Should I be mean and remind you to add $370 for a new output tranny $300 for the power and another $150 or so for tubes ;)

How much did the asking price at Verellen shoot up? Last I asked, it was a little over 2 grand.

I never checked on a T, but most of his higher wattage amps went up to/above the 2k mark. I was lucky to get my custom from him when I did.

I can deal with that, since I don't have any tech fees, only shipping from Illinois and back... :D

It's in good condition, Great condition, actually. tubes are no biggie, planned on doing that anyways. May need a walkthrough on the re-cap for it, though, I'll probably do that right away.

Recap, spot the capacitors, order replacements, solder replacements in place. Some would just replace the electrolytics, but I've also found polyesters to fail over time, in fact they were what failed on my Alamo, the electrolytics were still in working nick.

I'm not sure. Probably the normal increase in business costs and the like.

Just curious, I knew he'd moved into a 'proper' shop and had upgraded all his amps from 6550's to KT120's which is an increase of $30 a tube. Thought maybe he was just going upmarket.

I'd say that considering your riffrock handle, it was a self-fullfilling prophecy.

Let us know how you like it. And FWIW, I like the 2nd gen better than the 1st.
poop.

VOLVO)))

I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it. I've got three strat coil sized humbuckers on the way, and a Pharaoh, so I can sound like Wino constantly.

Can someone fill me in as to what the difference is between the 1st and 2nd Gen? The only thing I've heard is that the 2nd gens were grittier sounding.
