Finally heard... Kilt Fuzz ??

Finally heard my DIY fuzz, which for today I will call the Hemisaurus Opus on guitar, instead of bass, a Strat, with Lace single coils, into an open backed Peavey Classic 50, on the clean channel. What a monster. Even with what should be a weeny setup, it sounded like a full stack of doom. I am happy.

I do have a recording, unfortunately it was on a phone, recorded at 8KHz 12bits and sounds like total ass >:(

In mitigation, the Peavey Classic is a nice sound amp, with a terrible sounding EQ.

Anyways, it's all built with parts you can buy at the shack, and the enclosure is from a local DIY store, I'll get a schematic up at some point, if anyone wants one.

Could it be turreted easily? I can do turretboards pretty easily. The parts are goofy cheap, we could probably make them for board members for under 40 bucks! :D

design scheme?

i'm thinking a plaid paint job (hemi, does your clan have a pattern that is easily copied?) with some crazy skull knobs.  (a tip of the hat to hamlet, perhaps?)

I could make knobs out of pebbles or rocks, hahahahaha. Actually, I bet I could get my hands on stoneware plug samples, or somethin'... Really nice wooden knobs?

We could take the Devi Ever route, fuck paint, paper stickers. We can do any pattern we want, that way, with minimal resources.

The Zuni guy makes his knobs out of deer antler, he may have a very small penis, I don't know.

I went to Autozone and asked for some tartan paint for it, and they threw me out :-*

Gimme a little bit, I just opened it up, and I have no clue how I built it, I'll have to try and uncover it a bit more.

I got an account at cedist, but haven't ordered anything yet.

Perusing that site now. The ProCo Deuce Tone Rat is drool worthy. Never seen it before.
