Very good episode.  I find it interesting that the governor is set up to be the bad guy, but how much worse is he than Rick?  Hell, you have a better chance of staying alive with him.

It was a very good episode.

In fact, it was good enough to renew my interest in a series that, I must admit, I was growing a little weary of. I hadn't liked the last three episodes or so (anything since Rick's wife died, really). So, this one was an antidote for the 'mehs'. I realize not every episode can be golden, but I was just getting tired of the dragging plot line.

I've read all the comics up to the most recent issue, and I have to say, for the most part, I like the comics better (even after seeing the series first). But, I can say why they chose to do things differently for TV (budget, viewer interest, etc).

Maybe it's just me, but because of the comic books and they way time progresses in it, doesn't Carl already seem to be too old in what is the third season of this series. I mean, there's a long way to go with this (presumably), and the actor who plays him already appears to be bordering on his teen years. It's almost like they need to recast the part or something?

Anyway, I look forward to the continuation of this in Feb.

It's the common thing for most television series on most channels. They all have a "winter break". Around jan 1st shows like American idols season starts. It's a Christmas break. Although most shows do come back at the beginning of jan and not feb

Is it just me, or is this show kind of derailing a bit? It seems like it gets more boring each episode, and because of that, I start noticing things I didn't earlier on: the cheesiness of the sets, the bad acting, the plot logic holes and so forth.

Maybe it was impossible to do, but, imo, this series would have been better served following the comic, within reason, as closely as possible, and not swerving off on its own. The show, as is now, is losing momentum and becoming a real bore with way too much filler. Lastly, Andrew Lincoln, as Rick, was a terrible casting choice. He doesn't work at all.

It's time like this I wish we didn't lose the spoiler button in the server swap. As such, I wont give anything too crazy away... I liked the episode overall. didn't really seem boring, but the character's relationships are falling apart and it would have made more sense for rick to sort of 'nut up' and lead the group w/out falling apart. One minute he's fine, the next a mess. Doesn't make a lot of sense...

Agreed. they don't do gunfights well in this series. The zombie killing is fine, but the shoot-outs are lame.

Yeah, it's TV, it's not big budget Hollywood cinema, I get that. But as noted, the action scenes are rarely done well and always come off really cheesy and spare.

And then there's this: the use of a mid-size Hyundai SUV as their main vehicle?? The world is in the shitter, zombies are everywhere, the remaining humans have become incredibly dangerous, and the best mode of transportation these guys can find is a Hyundai mid-sized SUV? Hey, it's economical!  

The whole thing seems scaled down, on the cheap, and, frankly, a bit directionless.
