skipping all sense of hyperbole, but I have to say, outside of the first 20 minutes of the season one, epi 1 pilot, this thing has improved mightily. I almost bailed last season when it slowed down some. The prison season was a drawn out mistake..I know, I get it, had to happen if the story is to evolve anywhere near the books the mayor..blah blah..but it became a tedious watch. The violence was dumbed down..the darker issues cam off contrived and rushed..almost amateurish the last 2 season imo.

New writers?

They seen to be taking this away from "tv yawnfest about zombies for teenagers" to dark, creepy adult horror with a moving/traveling "set"...new atmospheres, better reveals. etc

to me, the entire series is crud-free.  there hasn't been a bad episode yet, and they continually ratchet up the intensity.  I don't have cable so I have to drive to see this, and no complaints

I personally think you may have to watch to keep up with the characters, and what they are doing and whatnot..it's a tough go, for me it was anyways..but seems this season may be the payoff.

Carol and Daryl were outside the hospital when shooting was going on with Beth and black kid. They rescue him, he tells them only way in is Carol. She plays injured and Daryl and kid go to get Rick.
