Confession: I've never watched a shred of this show until Saturday when I was flipping around the channels in the morning and saw this pretty bad ass gun battle going on and it drew me in (I didn't even know what I was watching at the time -- thought it was some cop series). Then I find out it's the first episode of 'The Walking Dead' and the I find out it's the beginning of a marathon on AMC building up to the first episode of the third season which was, of course, last night. I watched every episode and then caught last night.

Pretty great tv series which has now got me interested in the comic book series, too. Seems like there is almost more fleshing out of characters and so forth in tv series than the comic book? I don't know because I only looked at the first issue of the comic book in series in comparison.

Definitely hooked at this point.

They change it up a bit so you won't know what's gonna happen (if you follow the comic).

Eh, I cheated and read up on the 'The Walking Dead' wiki in terms of the comic book. So, I do know what happens in the comic. It'll be interesting to see how the show continues to deviate from the cb.

Soundgardenia

On the Talking Dead they were saying that in the comic books, it was supposed to be Dale getting bit, not Hershel.
I could play Stairway to Heaven when I was twelve... Jimmy Page didn't actually write it until he was twenty-two... I think that says quite a lot..

The Shocker

I was hoping that Daryl and that short haired chick would bone.  She was up for it & in a zombie apocalypse situation she doesn't look bad.

The "going down first" joke was pretty awesome too.

Finally able to watch the first episode of the new season. Man, how freakin bad ass.  I know some people don't dig how "in-humane" Rick has become, but I think it's pretty much amazing.  Great episode. Looking forward to the next.
Something heady, stupid, and prophetic here.

Hope the Gary Oldman looking dude is into black cock.

oh, and Merle is going to be back!

VOLVO)))

Rick is a motherfucker, outright. I love it. Wait until Carl starts getting real... Merle is going to be an oddity, i haven't any idea of his stance. I suspect he won't be around too long via Daryl taking him out with a crossbow or something else when Merle tries to exact revenge on the crew.

In the comic Rick does all the heavy lifting so to speak , it is very clear from the get all he cares about is keeping his family / people safe . In the show while I never thought of him as soft it seemed something was holding him back from total badassery . He seems to be embracing it now .

VOLVO)))

He's finna pop off. Im excited to see how real shit gets.

The Shocker

So far these 2 episodes are doing a good job of making me forget about the shitty episodes last season.

natehusky

Which shitty eps last season ? The first half ?

The Shocker

The ones that had more talking than zombie action.

natehusky

I just watched this weeks ep & it was way too much talking . Why hasn't Ricks wife figured out if she just apologized for being a cunt things might get better

Soundgardenia

Way too much talking?? Have you not seen the several amounts of axes to the heads, possible zombie mouth to mouth and c-section practices on a zombie chick?

Last season baby.  No problem with this season so far.

How awesome was it when Rick killed the long haired inmate? Without hesitation he slammed that machete down on his head. Great stuff.

Perhaps not taking but too much time devoted to feelings .
