You don't need a bass player in your band.

Different strokes...a bit tacky for my tastes.  Maybe living and growing up in the bay area has me tired of pot-puns.

'nother one

  • I use my ears, rather than a badge, or an online opinion, when selecting gear (this one is worse than saying solid-state is OK

Impressive. I thought I was hearing octave down sounds for the "bass" parts through some sort of gizmo.

Oh it is, lol, EHX POG. In action. We jammed this tune once before recording it... excuse the fuckups.

That's one thick head of hair you've got sir. I dig the song. Couldn't hear the POG as much in that one, how does it handle power chords?

VOLVO)))

Oh you could hear it, they're just really well blended. I was playing full chords there. Its polyphonic, never glitches. Tracks perfect. I play the riff once with just guitar. When the drums come in, everything comes in.

Ah. I'll listen again. Pretty neat that it tracks perfect, good to know. Got a 3 piece going now but if I ever do the duo thing in the future again I'll get a POG.

  • I laught at people who spend $500 or more on a tube amp, and then put a stompbox with transistors in front of it ;D

The Riffer

^ I see your point, but you have to admit there is a difference playing in front of tube amp vs. solid state.

On a similar note...

Alot of cats want the most tweakability possible from pedals and amps. Is it blasphemous to say that less controls is usually better?  Added together the tone controls on your guitar , 3 or 4 tone controls on pedals, tone controls on your amp, start to work against each other. Maybe I just prefer simplicity over options..IDK..get off my lawn.
