What is up with 2 knob 2 pup guitars? What if you for whatever reason want to have a louder pup in one position but don't want to lower it all the way down to balance the volume? I get it on cheap guitars but if you spend real money on an axe it should have a volume and a tone knob for each pup.

Never understood that either.

And if there are two vol/one tone I'll route the tone knob so it only affects the neck pickup. I don't think I've used a tone knob for bridge position (on purpose)

jibberish

yeah, the fury and droney show rocks.  I even watched a few more songs from your set.
the actual crowd pleaser was that "eyes of madness" song.  people dug that little stop and bass thing a'la Sabbath.
I did too heh.

**************************************************************

so the fulltone mini deja-vibe shows up today, great except...

the online lit said "9v supply internally doubled to 18v" cool.
the one I got expressly states "18v supply only", not so cool
and fulltone threw in a 9v supply heh, leaving realm of cool totally here.

i'm glad this was thru sweetwater. they don't fuck around taking care of issues and he had an 18v supply on the way from fulltone within 2 hrs.

so, at the end of the day, I wait a couple more days to hear what this beauty sounds like, but I get a free extra 9v supply...

STOKED!!

I might have to make a trip down to the USA for this since it doesn't seem like Conan is ever going to cross the border.  ;)

Dude, fuck yes. I randomly missed Conan when they came through last May, had no idea they were here. Glad I get to rectify that. Y'all coming east at all?

That super heavy (fake out) chord you do on guitar when you run out of frets and want to keep going lower? I love it but playing the low root note of it on bass is a problem if you don't have an extra low string. I was actually considering getting a long scale 5 string for F# (guitar is in C# standard) for recording but I remembered my EH Pitch Fork. 1 octave down with no blend and I'm good. You can set the stomp switch to work only when it is pressed rather than make it turn on. This thing rules.

Also sounds awesome on bass for easy fake power chords when you blend in a 5th up. With 2 of them, 2 rigs, and a splitter box a bass player could play roots notes and 1 octave up guitar range power chords at the same time.

We're just the local openers—Conan & Serial Hawk are the touring bands.

Here's the tour:

Cool.

Amber from Full Stride was running her guitar rig and bass rig with an ABY. Dirty signal and effects went to guitar rig, clean signal to bass rig. I think she experimented with an octave pedal too briefly.

Sounded bad ass.

Still scrambling to complete the mix on the Ocean of Stars single.

It's close, but with all the layering it still needs some work.

Current version currently being mastered, as I have a radio interview taping Tuesday afternoon. But since it airs later, it may buy time to get the completed version to them beforehand.

But at the very least I'd like to go in there with something. However, if it sounds too "off" I may just talk about it as "in the works" and focus on promoting the EP.

I hate doing things half-assed (going to radio with an incomplete mix), but at the same time when you get opportunities you can't pass them up... :/

I don't have one for the octave down on bass but so far I'm getting I think about the same clarity that a low F# string would produce or better. I only have 1 pitch fork so I haven't tried the dual rig bass and guitar octave up idea.

I do this for Emerald Douglas with the bass side(also with dirt) during most single string parts. My baritone is tuned down to F# so it's kind of muddy using the octave down function on chords. At 0:26 you hear the bass rig come in low-

At 3:00 there is a sort of lead part also with the pitchfork on 1 octave down. We had a lot of fun playing this stuff live even if it presumably bored a lot of people because there are no vocals.

Damn. I thought we were getting a Sandia Man tour. Well great spot to open, man, congrats. I will definitely be present for at least one of these SE shows.

very cool racerx.   hope you slay.

they are playing in clevo at the same place dinger and that band we were all supposed to forget about, played at.
the venue isn't the coolest, but the hood it is in is super sleepy = super safe = very nice, especially after the show.

I really respect people that kludge shit together and generally fuck around outside the box in the pursuit of more crazy audio.
I have thoroughly assimilated liquid's information, and I like it. I also like this amber person (sound the amber alert, "Psycho may be stalking you, be ever vigilant")
I don't know her but I know I like how she rolls.

I always mention jucifer basically for the same reasons. her only rules are the ones that suit her.

This is Amber from Southern Gun Culture

Got the initial master back.

Holy shitballs. Sounds HUGE. Even with the mix still in need of some tweaks this sounds great!

Went from looking at a drawing of a rhino to standing in front of an actual rhino.

reverb.com is a good place to shop for used gear  - maybe better than eBay? It keeps getting better, anyway.

ANYHOO, they have cheap 1/4" cables (10 feet for $7), mic cables and seatbelt straps (comfy). Also, guitar shipping boxes (3 for $36).
