So they went ahead and made a TV show based on Garth Ennis' Preacher. Now we just have to hope it's more Ash vs. Evil Dead amounts of gore and brutality, and not 'Constantine' amounts of suckage.

laid on my couch re-reading the graphic novels all day yesterday. Then watched the show.
Very different, but I remain hopeful for the future.

Yeah, this got off to a promising start. I'm not yet 100% sold on Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, but I'm a fan of the guy who plays Cassidy.

I thought it was OK, not great, not terrible.  Loved it when he broke that guy's arm.
Not as much humor as I had hoped(Tom Cruise), maybe that will ramp up a bit.

COMIC SPOILER:

Didn't Cassidy turn out to be a bad guy and betray Jesse?  Can't remember, read them when they came out, 20?years ago.
If so, I hope that's not the case in the show.
