I love PKD, though I feel that no one has really ever done a very accurate job transcribing his books into movie form. The recent Radio Free Albemuth isn't too shabby, though why didn't they just do Valis??

How true to the book is this?

With regards to other Dick films, I actually really enjoyed A Scanner Darkly, despite disliking Keanu Reeves generally.

I also like science fiction authors with non-phallic names, like William Gibson and Ursual K LeGuin. Someone needs to make a movie of The Dispossessed. I read that book once a year I love it so much. The Left Hand Of Darkness would also make a fine movie.

Someone should make an Elric movie too. I think that would translate well to the big screen.

Have to agree there was something lacking. Was excited, watched it, and was glad I had the book to remember. Still, better than a poke in the eye.
