I APOLOGIZE IF THIS IS THE WRONG SECTION- NOT SURE WHERE TO POST!

Hey guys,
I'm a diehard QOTSA fan. I also love Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Deadmeadow .etc

I have a musical project going on called "Sensory Overload". It's just some real raw, lo-fi, psychedelic rock/stoner/classic/hard rock/grunge/alternative jack of all trades kind of shit

Anyways I'd love to hear some feedback/criticism on some of our songs. I recorded everything with a single SM57 mic, 1 instrument at a time, so there's some hiccups but I was going for a raw sound. And yes, I'm currently looking into taking singing lessons/finding a singer!

We have yet to release our heaviest material- but I think you guys will still enjoy my tone/style (or maybe not who knows haha)

These songs in particular:

Rich Old White Dudes

Agent Orange

and if you like Neil Young style guitar tone

One Last Shot

I'm running a strat through a VOX AC30 so it's real hard for me to get thick, low-end tones. I plan on getting a blackstar or orange cab and hollow-body electric in september when I'm back home from work.

Any criticism/feedback appreciated! Thanks

I'm no reviewer (and would prefer to be altered when listening to music), but I love music and will always be a fan of anyone making an effort and putting it out there.

That said--

Come To Me

A bit plodding and drawn out.
Good stoney tones though.

Rich White Dudes

Intro seemed too long or not having any variation in the riff my interest starts to wane.
Tones seem to be headed in the right direction though.

Agent Orange

Again, long, repetitive intro with no variation in the riff. Gets monotonous.
The harmonica creeping in does add a bit of flavor to it and near the end the riffs start to develop nicely.

I didn't really listen to One Last Shot.

Seems to have potential, but man, this stuff is pretty raw at this point. Maybe with a beefier overall production and some vocals, I would "get" what you are trying to do. But as it is, each of these tunes are pushing five minutes each and seem drawn out and don't really go anywhere for the time the songs track. I'm also not feeling any of this really "swinging."

Now remember my disclaimer. You asked for honesty---good or bad. I don't want to discourage anyone from their thing. I'm not a reviewer and I applaud your effort and courage, but there is work to do.

Keep on keeping on and do this first and foremost for yourself and your band.
Fuck opinions.

I'd still give the finish product a listen.
