Don's dream sequence felt kinda clumsy.  The strangling shot was intense, though.

Love this show. The recent episode was easily amongst the best of this show, the fight was epic.

"You greasy little pimp!" Had me in stitches for a while.

What I liked most about it was that it was just the main guys being the main guys, none of that Betty crap or anything even remotely relating to the main story arc.

I am however, feeling sorry for Pete. I started hating him as soon as he was introduced and since then. Now all of thats being washed away in light of his, apparent, depression. Hopefully we'll see a side of Pete that we haven't yet seen. Exciting.

Oh and yes, Layne is really starting to become one of my favourites. Actually the entire "main office guy team" are amazing. Sterling especially.

it was fantastic.

but i still have no pathos for pete. how do you cheat on alison brie?! he cries once a season, he raped that au pere, blah blah. to me, it's pretty parallel to betty's arc this season. this character we love to hate is suddenly shown to be broken and vulnerable, but they're still assholes. when betty said "your mother's obese," when pete continues to fuck around on his wife (which he will), they're not fully redeemed.

The only time I felt for Pete, was when his dad died on that plane flight, and he found out that his whole old money Manhattanite wealth had been squandered.  Then Duck "I killed 10 men at Okinawa" Phillips made him whore his grief for an account.  Other than that, I hate the smug little prick and was glad to see him bested (although I figured it'd be Roger doing the sticking and moving).

Also, I want to read all of Kenny Cosgrove's genre fiction.

i love me some joanie. the way she and don flirted was so... respectful? jon hamm and christina hendricks should make a porn for my viewing pleasure. and i'm surprised that joan hadn't already filed for divorce herself. and while it's great to see her back at work, i wish we could see something about how she's coping with the baby on her own. is her horrid mother still there?

yeah, I was glad they kept it to flirting.  Made it sexier.

As for her mother, I'm not sure. They haven't shown her home life since Dr. McRapey told her it was over.
