That's a good soundin' snare, goddamn. I like the Roddy-style hihat/kick drum alternations...

So, yeah, What do you cats think about this?

I forgot to mention, I was playin' the drums, if you didn't notice/don't know what I look like.

That pingy sounding lead thing is a Persian Santoor, and the bass player of Lowe is playing bass...

this is a great thread. seeing the peeps that post here kicking ass and taking names.   even if i dont like a song all that much, i like what you are doing. very motivating and inspiring, and believe me, i need that.

RAGER

Couple summers ago.  first awkward small show with my new (old) drummer that hadn't been on a stage in close to 10 years.  i normally use two amps but I had some issues with my second so had to do it with just the Orange as I was complaining aboot.

I was listening back to the rehearsal recordings we did back 3 months ago. It's a loose jam, we kept playing the same riff over and over again. We finally have a rehearsal with all band members later this week, those 3 months were long... We can finish this jam and start thinking about something else and the planned Sabbath cover.

So, excuse the shitty sound, the shitty playing, basically the shitty everything.

Here's a couple of tracks from my band.  We were lucky enough to get Alex Newport to mix our album (so the drums sound nice and loud).  I wouldn't say we are stoner necessarily, definitely not doom.  More hard rock I suppose?

Very cool.  Any "where are they now?" news on the mother truckers Danny?
Vinyls.   deal.

Also, this is a few years old, but it's some of the only footage we have.

They're still around.

Teal now sings with The Whiskey Sisters, Josh has a band called The South Austin Moonlighters. A lot of the same players in each band, and Josh now plays guitar for TWS.

Just saw TWS for the first time on Thursday, doing the old Mother Truckers happy hour slot at Continental Club. They are blowing up, and TSAM aren't doing too bad either. Pete the Beat the old TMT drummer was in attendance as well (plays with TWS from time to time), and several fans tried to encourage a Mother Truckers reunion as all four of us were there, but that didn't pan out. Not ruled out for the future tho

Good to see them all tho, that was fun

A recording of a genre we label "Doom Blues".  Surprisingly good sound.
