Again, not my band but one I recorded.  It was nearly pitch black so the video was horrible, so my only choice was to roll with it and make it look grainy/old.  The audio turned out pretty good with the exception of the vocals being way too quiet, but no amount of post-production EQ/compression can fix that.  All things considered I'm happy with it considering what I started with.  Cool band.

This is from a gig we played last Saturday

fuckin a, I ended up just leaning back and enjoying this like a set in the bar somewhere. the overloaded audio actually helped set the mood.   I even smoked indoors and no one bounced me..it was awesome. fuckin a

Ayek

Cool thanks. Yeah, the sound got more blown out when my missus went to record on the other side of the stage.

hey frank zappa album, who is playing the guitar? that is a brutal sounding setup, whatever it is.

I hereby dub frobbert a member of a real band. they even have a real singer. nice song.
I need a quiet chunk of time to watch the documentary, but it looks fun. fun is what it is all about

everyone looks like they are having fun. makes me want to have fun and fires me up to make music.
that's why that stupid chicken in the corn song hooked me. those guys were flat out having fun and I wanted to be there making chicken noises n shit along with the song.

or that insane mariachi bass player..fun

thanks.that´s me playing the guitar, and the setup is : gretsch jet baritone tuned to a, into a dynacomp into an a/b box , from there into a POG 2 into some hartke bass combo ,and on the other side into a vintage rat, into a beta lead ,plugged into a beat up hughes and kettner cab

Mr. Foxen

Did a decent practice room recording of drums and bass, dubbed guitar on to make a demo, sounds pretty good I reckon.

always nice to catch up on this thread.

good stuff

foxen, what exactly would you call your music?  it got real interesting like around 8min onward.  i'm trying to mash sludge and Casablanca together or something in my mind to find a place for it

Don't really know genre wise, kinda stuck for it, this was supporting indie rock band EP launch, very 'down with the kids' stuff. I'm fairly keen on playing mismatched lineups, because loads of heavy in a row drops the impact. I tend to say amplifier worship, because showing off my amps is key, but getting pretty happy with my riffs now. Arrangement needs work.
