First projects are a new pedalboard for myself and a bandmate. Then cases for those to go in (I am abandoning the pop-the-lid-and-rock design I've been using almost 20 years in favor of a board that goes in a padded case, because almost 20 years of using previous design haha ugh)

What are the issues with a top-lid design? That setup always seemed to make sense to me.

EL84s are nice.  I don't get why the hate.

None from me, lol, just a bit angular-humour/schlock cinema/sarcasam (admitedly challenging). I'll post my Mazda chrome tops in a while just for fun to look at, if your a fire-bottle geek like me. I've sold all my 84 amps - Vox, Marshall, VHT, Matchless... might even wish I had 'em all back!

Rager,
Was looking at several EL84 amps since you posted. Eeeghads so many and not enough room. The new Sound City 20 might be cool. The Magnatone 15.  Anywho,

I used to lust after Matchless

That reminds me the DC-30 was the only amp my dog would walk up to and put his nose in the grill when I was playing! Wasn't cranked up loud but it was unbelieveable (to me). Every other amp he'd look at sidewise and stay back including the AC-30. But the Mathcless he'd walk up to. I have no clue why, maybe it was the EF86? Still makes me smile though. Great amp, by the way. Matchless has that new 6V6 amp out, Laurel Canyon. Pretty sweet. Back to the the EL84's though - the Z-Wreck looks interesting.

RAGER

Ah Ken Fischer was originally involved hence the name.

Shit!  I just saw a Tele baritone with a humbucker for sale locally.

@ Lumpy

With the lift-off lid there is ZERO shock protection re: shit getting knocked around.

I've been lucky so far, but would suck to have to troubleshoot my board before a gig etc because I dropped it again.

I've seen them depicted in cave paintings.

It's beautiful. $60-$70 used for as long as long as I can remember.

They usually look like they've been run through a garbage disposal. Smell like it too.

This was $75 new in box with bubble wrap still around it, the bag, the clip, and the whatever the pop filter is called.

It's been awhile since I posted here. I hope that everyone is doing well!

I picked up a Warm Audio jet phaser a few weeks ago. Last night I was I was messing around with some doom riffs on it just for shits. This pedal is big and heavy, runs off of 18volt power supply, and has zero practical applications......But God damn it is awesome!

Submarine

That JetPhaser is sick.

bbottom

Yea it's ridiculous. I'm trying to shoehorn it into one of our newest songs

Danny G

Bad ass.

Just ordered 2 vocal boom mics and one short boom mic, plus a case to carry 6 mics.

Can never have too many mic stands, and these all have telescoping booms. And it's just time for a mic case. Plus it's water proof.

The vocal mic stand I liked was $65 each, but they had a 2 for $80 deal on those \m/,

I got a focusrite scarlett 8i6 3rd gen and installed the software and it says No Hardware Detected, so I'm wondering if their support team will contact me back or if there's web videos for this issue.

Had this one for a few years, but it got left at the studio when shelter in place was ordered, brought it home on Thursday and I'm stoked.

If your computer is recent, go on the Focusrite website and download the most recent drivers. Sometimes the software that comes in the box is not totally up to date. If you have an older computer then I don't know. See if your computer's specs match the system requirements listed on their website.

I'm wondering if these work from home apps have firewalls that are blocking my focusrite drivers. It's beyond me. Already spent hours researching and trying.

Focusrite support finally messaged back and sent me back to their article that I tried already where it says to contact them if it doesn't help. Going around in circles. About to delete the work from home stuff, put it on so long ago I forget where to put it all back on, never used it on this computer yet, it's my backup.

Looked up computer doctors, recording studios, but first emailed guitar center to see where they would suggest I go. It's missing something, I'm not downloading anything from a YouTube instructional video from random dipshits Google put on top of the page to control us. I can tell from the videos, and past experiences from YouTube videos, bad idea.

Fixed, I called focusrite tech support and they remotely took over my computer, my work from home crap wouldn't allow anything to pass so it needed removed. Now I'm learning pro tools, just made a track, will learn how to edit and store later. Major progress.

Yay  :) tech support is usually pretty good, IME.
