riffs/song parts that teach cool useful techniques

my entry is the classic thunderstruck part.  the alternate picking/alternate open string riff.

this is doing 2 things for me.
1)getting my alternate picking smoother
2)getting my fingers the hell out of the way for the clean open note.


i need to constantly improve both these things

what other exercises are out there to make you do useful techniques?

Try picking your triplets as Down up down Down up down, gives an awesome, natural shuffle.

No particular riff comes to mind atm to hear that.

thought of one with live video for visual reinforcement

For the bass players... No song did better for me than this one.
