My knee jerk reaction was to tell you how wrong you are, good sir. But after a deep breath I will concede that you may be right. However, IMO, that would be one mighty fucking facemelter of an album.

I haven't liked a High on Fire album since Surrounded by Thieves. The over drumming just kills it for me, they should bury it more in the mix, or play something with some groove once in a while.  I still buy every one though, and go see 'em when they come close.  I reckon they are better live than on cd.

I like every High on Fire song with the exception of Razor Hoof, but even then the bridge nearly gives it a pass. And Om looks better on paper than it sounds on record.

6. Cookie monster/growled/constantly screamed vocals aren't at all heavy.  Anything that is completely devoid of dynamics just gets old fast.

This applies to way more than just vocals.

Movie samples in songs: Just stop, it was barely tolerable when Buzzoven overdid it

Hear hear.  When done live, I like to yell "I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT MOVIEEEEE!  YOU GUYS, WHAT MOVIE IS THAT FROM?  IS IT A GOOD ONE?"

The whole Om thing being better than High on Fire isn't all that blasphemous because Al Cisneros is a whole lot better at music.

I don't like other people's music tastes even if they're in-line with mine. Fucking hate talking about other people's music in a circle jerking manner. Even talking in a scholarly manner about music tends to piss me off. Music sucks, plain and simple. Mainly because people make it, and we all know people suck.

If you can't make the cheapest of gear sound good then you probably shouldn't be making music.

Using picks is for the weak.

And some other stuff that's really blasphemous and apparently offensive that I can't think of right now.

Kidney stone. Snuck up on me and decided it wanted to steal two weeks from me. Had a stent taken out today, which was the most uncomfortable thing that has ever happened to me. At least now I finally feel better. Shit can get back to normal.
