I liked the small clone quite a bit.

I used chorus for years and just outgrew it at some point.

Danelectro Cool Cat sounds good too but is 18v. I made good use of the top mounted stereo outputs to use two amps.

I'm going to check out that Dano pedal, Ive got the french toadt and the octave down one too love them both.  Im thinking it might be the buffers Boss uses on their pedals because everyony on of them had this brittleness that I cant stand but the same circuit with no buffer or a different buffer seems to always sound better to my ears anyway.

I only use two effects....fuzz and a bassballs. And I bet in the last 10 years I've been through five bassballs. They all break or just stop working (don't get me started about EH quality control)

So I contacted a professional pedal builder that I know and he's going to reinforce and upgrade my current BB with better parts to make the thing last and more reliable. Hells yea!

I'll be on the lookout for one of those, I love my liitle cheapy Danos but do not trust them for gigging.

I've pretty much never played an EHX pedal I did not like.  I wish they would build them into a boss style enclosure, I'd gladly pay more for the reliability.....I've really tried to like boss because they are sturdy and easily replaceable but their tone just grates on me.  I bet if boss came out with a line of bufferless true bypass pedals they would sell a ton!

Most EHX pedals would benefit from a re-house and replacing any cheap external pots/switches/wiring.

Hell, see if you can find a kit or find someone to build a military-grade BB clone

I took a trip about two hours south today to Asheville NC. I've always wanted to check the town out but I've never really had the opportunity.

From the short time that I was there I thought that it seems like a pretty cool place. The whole place kind of reminds me of the 90's. Cute chicks with skirts and knee socks with funky hair....record stores....lots of coffee shops.

As I was walking around I stumbled upon this



I totally forgot that Moog was in Asheville. Even though I'm not into that stuff it was pretty neat and the tour was cool. I didn't realize that all of that stuff is still built there and by hand.

The only "bad" thing about the day, if you want to call it that. Is the drive from TN into NC through the mountains is absolutely insane. My back and neck are sore because I was gripping the wheel so tight

I've been to that Moog store. I was instantly overwhelmed. Cool place for sure though.

Asheville is awesome for walking around. Once a year , a show comes through that I want to see and me and my buddy get a hotel room downtown and barhop, eat at Curaté (fucking awesome) go to the show, stop at the Yacht Club for a pitcher of tater tots and stumble back to the room.


I wouldn't want to live there though.  It's a world of extremes.  Left and right, and very little middle mentality.

I joined a rock cover band as lead singer, we will probably play out in 2-3 months.  we play some godsmack and alice in chains.

Hey bbottom did you make the tiger/lightning bolt graphic? That's pretty cool! (Maybe lifted from a fireworks package? Wild guess).

Why no lightning bolts on the band name? (lightning bolts also cool). If you had to pick one or the other, I might have put them on the band name and not the phrase below.

Anyone aware of any inexpensive flanger pedals that one can in one way or another adjust the volume on? I'm done buying pedals without some type of level/mix/volume knob.

New band's album finished mastering today & I dig it.  We're playing our first show a week from Saturday (March 11th).  Opening slot at a local spot, but that's alright.

Also got my Mockingbird back from the shop.  Has a brand new set of electronics.  Ripped out the active pre and pickups.  Installed a couple Killing Floor P pickups and new pots.  V/T V/T.  Sounds a lot better, I think.
